The Y-Strap adjustment works by decompressing the spine by pulling the head and neck along the Y-Axis of the body. This pulling force generates a decompression in the vertebral discs and spinal joints. The force applied can vary in speed and force. Most often a HVLA (High Velocity, Low Amplitude) force is applied to achieve the desired effect of the adjustment. This adjustment is not safe for everyone. Your provider will go through a detailed examination with you prior to any adjustments or manipulations in order to deem this procedure safe for each specific patient/case. Talk to your provider today to see if the Y-Strap is safe for you.
